5 out of 5 stars Love it!!   August 17, 2010

I bought this to use with EA Sports Active More Workouts. I have been using it for the past week and I am not having any problems with it reading my weight correctly or counting my steps. I am working out on ceramic tile, so perhaps those having issues are using the step and wii Blance Board on carpeting. So glad I bought it. It definitely has increased the intensity of my workouts!

5 out of 5 stars With the quick and easy fix, it's great!   August 15, 2010

I too had problems with the board not registering the correct amount of steps, but I stuck some nickels under each foot and it's worked great ever since. Definitely brings up the level of the workout.

5 out of 5 stars Made step aerobics for wii fit better   July 6, 2010

I love this step. It was easy to assemble, and use. I did not have any issue with it registering correct weight or steps when using it with the balance board, but then we use ours on a very thin rug over concrete floor, hence a hard surface. I found when I added this step for the Wii Fit step aerobics, it instantly helped me improve my score. Apparently I use to step on and off just a tad too fast, this helped put me at just the right pace, got my heart pumping more and made the workout more of a challenge.

it is stable and the same on hard surface and on carpet. This addition really gives the extra kick to the step aerobics of Wii. Without the addition of the aerobics step platform the aerobics part of Wii is rather lame but improves quite a bit in workout with the addition of this platform.

4 out of 5 stars Improves my wii fit workout   June 25, 2010
R. Pincus (Fort Mill, SC United States)
This step platform has definitely made the step-workouts on the wii fit more challenging. I would bet that it easily doubles the intensity of the workout over the plain balance board. I did have to use the poker chip trick to improve the responsiveness of the steps and the accuracy of the weight measurements. I also received good service from the manufacturer...my platform only came with 3 of the 4 screws. I e-mailed the company and within a week received 2 new packages of screws, no questions asked.

I don't understand why people are complaining that the wii fit doesn't calculate the new amount of calories burned...of course it wouldn't do that....all of those calculations are just estimates, and there's no way the wii fit software would be ready to calculate that you're using a platform over the balance board.
