Editorial Review Most attempts to tamper with the basic gameplay of Tetris have fallen flat on their faces, but Tetris Plus is actually a decent take on the timeless classic. You can tackle a basic solo game of Tetris, challenge a friend in two-player mode, or go directly to the best portion of the game: puzzle mode.In puzzle mode, players control blocks as they descend from the top to the bottom of the screen. As they fall, you can spin blocks so that they land next to corresponding colors at the bottom of the screen. Gameplay is just like the original only with a few major twists. The bin that holds the pieces at the bottom of the screen starts out partially filled, while a little professor character climbs on top of the stack. Your job is to clear lines of blocks so that the professor can reach the exit at the bottom of the bin before a spiked ceiling smacks him in the head. Two players can also duke it out in puzzle mode, sending cleared lines to their opponent's bin. This isn't the best version of Tetris we've ever played, but it does still manage to offer a lot of entertainment for its low price. --T. Byrl Baker Pros: - Several types of play
- Good two-player mode

best version of Tetris ever June 4, 2010 S.S.B. (UT) I adore this game. It has several different games to play, puzzle tetris, regular tetris, VS tetris, etc. The regular tetris game is my favorite version for this reason- the higher the level, the faster the pieces fall, but every few levels it gives you a "slow" speed to give you a rest, and gives you time to fix up whatever you may have messed up in the super fast ones. The puzzle game is also pretty fun. You have a little character, the "Professor," who climbs up the blocks you put down. The game starts with various blocks already in place, with the Professor walking around on top of them, and dangerous spikes at the very top of the screen. The object is to clear the blocks the Professor is walking on enough to get him to the bottom of the screen before the spikes fall on him. When he gets to the bottom, you move on to another puzzle with a higher difficulty than the previous one. I don't know how well I articulated that, but in any case it's really fun. It's a playstation one game, so you of course need a console that will play it, but it's so worth it. I bought a used PS2 just so that I could play this game.
Good Overall February 11, 2010 D. Delos Reyes I know this game was made for PS1. But I own a PS2 and you can play PS1 games, but is it for ALL PS1 games that IF played on a PS2, you cannot save it? I tried to save my progress on the game but it would always say "There is no memory card." When clearly, I have a memory card inserted with a lot of space in it.
Classic Game September 25, 2009 T. Joel (Marietta, GA USA) this game is a classic. It's always fun to play. I've had no trouble with this game. It plays everytime I put it in.
Amazing Game August 13, 2009 Kody McHale This game is awesome! The puzzle mode where you have to get the professer to the exit is really fun, especially when playing two player. The puzzle mode levels are very diverse and challenging at times, it is definitely not a game you can beat within a week (if you have a life). Plus, the replay value is very high because trying to improve scores or trying a harder difficulty on puzzle mode is surprisingly fun, even after beating the game various times. Also, the head to head games are really fun for people of all ages. You can change the difficulty, which means you could match a beginner against an expert, or two experts, or really anybody in head to head and have a fair match. Finally, the level design mode is fantastic! You can create your own levels from scratch.
So, if you are a Tetris fan, or you have never played Tetris at all, "Tetris Plus" is a fun game for all ages.
BEST TETRIS EVER June 26, 2009 Scott Devall (Gonzales, Louisiana) One of my favorite versions of Tetris. The game I bought from this seller was USED but when I opened it - I would have believed it was NEW; not one scratch. Thank you very much.
